Discover Local Gifts For Everyone This Holiday Season

Beacon’s 2025 Holiday Gift Guide

street sign calling for shoppers to shop local and shop small businesses

A holiday call to action on Beacon’s Main Street in 2024.

The 90 one-of-a-kind shops along Beacon’s highly walkable, mile-long Main Street make a compelling case for shopping local this Holiday season (and every season!). Need a gift for a beauty-lover? Check. For a hard-core hiker? Also, check. Stocking stuffers, Secret Santa, or gratitude gifts? Got those, too! From thoughtfully curated bookstores and artisan home goods spots to fashion, jewelry, metaphysical, wellness, fragrance, gourmet, wine, and vintage destinations—Beacon’s shopping scene covers every wish list.

And you’ll be supporting local businesses and making life easier for yourself with every local gift you buy. Skip the drive to a soulless shopping mall or buying online with no idea what you might end up with or if it will even show up. In other words, head to Main Street for a less-stress, shopping season.

For the Fragrance, Flower, & Nature Lover

Holiday fragrance products from Fischersund on a table at Witch Hazel, Beacon

Special edition fragrance products from Icelandic brand, Fischersund at Witch Hazel, 176 Main Street.

Thoughtful gifting begins with knowing what brings joy to your recipient. If your giftee loves unique and personality-defining fragrances, you’ll want to head to Witch Hazel (176 Main Street). Witch Hazel is one of the few independent locations on the east coast that carries Fischersund, the cult Icelandic fragrance brand which incorporates native herbs and oils to evoke scents like moss, pine, and the ozone of the coast. Here you’ll find Fischersund’s covetable limited edition, Jól (pronounced “Yule”), their hand-poured Holiday candle and room sprays, and other standout fragrances. Witch Hazel also offers gift cards and creative gift wrap options including colorful tea towels finished with floral and evergreen sprigs.

And, if you’re buying for someone who loves florals, consider Witch Hazel’s custom-made wall bouquet of pressed floral art to surprise and delight them.

Plus, if you’re interested in custom-made Holiday wreaths, stop in and let owner, Jill Hilbrenner, know what you’re looking for and she’ll do the rest. You just need to order by Wednesday, December 10th to get your order in time for Christmas.

And There’s Gift Cards

We’ve barely touched on gift cards, but most Beacon businesses also offer them for those who don’t feel they’ll make the right choice for their giftee. For example, consider a gift card from one of Beacon’s fitness studios like Feel Good Fitness (301 Main Street) or a wellness center like Kelta (616 NY-52) for your giftee to try some new classes and experiences.

So, there you have it. There’s literally a perfect gift for all tastes and at all price points right here on Main Street. What’s more, shopping doesn’t have to be a chore when there’s more than 90 spots to take a break and grab a bite to eat and drink along the way. So, skip the mall, say sayonara to online shopping, and surprise and delight everyone on your Holiday shopping list this season with a local gift. They—and Main Street businesses—will thank you.

Until next time…
