Beacon’s Winter Coat Giveaway for community members in need is hosted by Beacon City School District School Councils, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Beacon City School District, and I Am Beacon. Please help spread the word to neighbors you think may benefit from the event. NOTE: Coat donations will be accepted at the venue on the day until 8:30 AM.
The Winter Coat Giveaway is the culmination of the annual Winter Coat Drive, a student-led initiative designed to ensure children and teens across Beacon have access to warm winter clothing.
Led by Beacon High School Student Council and supported by a network of community partners, including National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Beacon City School District, I Am Beacon, and Dutchess Outreach, the event is dedicated to ensuring every donated coat directly benefits a local resident in need.
The project unfolds in three phases: Districtwide Community Collection Period, School-Based Distribution, and a Public Community Giveaway.
Any remaining coats after the event will be donated to Dutchess Outreach to continue supporting individuals in need.
