We were thrilled to receive an email from Hudson Valley Magazine a few weeks ago telling us that The Beacon Beacon is a 2025 Winner in their Best of Hudson Valley awards for Best Blog. Since then, we’ve been anxiously awaiting the official announcement in their July issue, which finally came out on Friday, June 13th. An unlucky date for some, but this time, not for us!

We’re incredibly grateful to everybody who voted for us. With all of life’s distractions, we know calling on people to “vote for us” can be one ask too many. But it’s evident that people who love Beacon care enough to vote for their favorites. We weren’t the only winner; there were an impressive 41 from Beacon.
What’s more, Beacon was also voted the best neighborhood or city to visit in the Hudson Valley. Beacon, NY—Hudson Valley Visitors’ Favorite City has a nice ring to it!
Winning our first award has happened pretty quickly! The Beacon Beacon launched on Instagram in spring 2024 to shine a light on “all good things” in Beacon, NY. The website and blog launched in September 2024, and we’ve been growing steadily ever since. Our goal is to be the essential, up-to-date, upbeat guide to Beacon, NY. It’s not about us; it’s about Beacon.
A huge thanks to everyone who voted for The Beacon Beacon, to those who follow us on social media, or have signed up to our newsletter and find the resources we offer useful. There are lots of exciting things in the pipeline, so please stay with us (and tell your friends!).
