Savage Wonder presents The Big Funk, a sharp, darkly comic portrait of dreamers trying to find their footing at the end of the millennium. What unfolds is funny, bruising, and deeply human — a collision of longing, fear, and the stubborn hope that change is possible.
This experiential reimagining unfolds like a midnight cab ride through the soul of 1970s New York. The evening begins with live music from Hudson Valley band Petty Larceny, setting the tone before the performance, along with chef-driven, show-inspired fare by The Grape Rebellion and themed cocktails crafted for the night. Guests are seated within the performance environment and ultimately gather at a communal table where actors and audience break bread inside the story itself.
