Core And Craft | Apples From Orchard To Glass

  • Dennings Point Distillery 10 North Chestnut Street Beacon, NY, 12508 United States (map)

A curated tasting and conversation in celebration of Cider Week New York. In the Hudson Valley, apples have long shaped the region’s agricultural identity. Today, more than ever, they are reimagined the glass. Moderated by Scott Ramsey, Executive Director of the New York Cider Association, the evening brings together distiller Dan Fenyo of Dennings Point Distillery and cidermaker Chris Jackson of Treasury Cider to explore how Hudson Valley apples are transformed through fermentation and distillation into a spectrum of refined beverages.

Through tasting and conversation, guests will explore the relationship between cider, apple brandy, and pommeau; how fermentation and distillation create fundamentally different expressions from the same fruit; and why apple-based beverages are gaining renewed attention among chefs, sommeliers, and curious drinkers.
