Bruce Molsky, a master of American Roots music, and Swedish musician/composer Ale Möller are touring the U.S. this spring, and they’re making a stop at the Towne Crier Cafe’s Main Stage.
Says Bruce Molsky: “Ale and I have played together in various settings over the years. We toured in Sweden in ’24, and the result was music we think is unique and exciting (also a recording to be released soon) This upcoming tour is a chance to take it even further.”
Bruce calls Ale “a true musical explorer, always pushing the boundaries and mixing sounds from around the globe with brilliance, passion and a big heart. Whether it’s on his own amazing version of the mandola, or any number of wind instruments or harmonica, Ale’s music is a journey in itself.”
Bruce has spent a lifetime immersing himself in the rich traditions of American old-time music, blues and music from other cultures as well. “From growing up in the Bronx to the back of the Appalachian Mountains, my journey has been about connecting the dots of our great and diverse musical heritage,” says Bruce. “Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with some incredible artists and teach the next generation of musicians at Berklee College of Music as The Visiting Scholar in our American Roots Music Program.”
